hello boys, girls, iguana, and chimpanzee,
how are you all!? we're awesome. we've been pretty freakin' busy lately so we apologize for the lack of updates. a few weekends ago we recorded some new demos at our friend mark's house. we sent the first of the two off for mixing last week and we should have it back soon. we'll be posting them online shortly after so be sure to check our myspace and what not.
tonight we're playing a halloween bash to celebrate the release of last year portrait's new cd! we're playing at under the couch in atlanta. we love lyp and we love under the couch. its going to be incredible. plus our good buddies the awkward romance are playing, too! AND on top of that, we're going to be rocking out in some sweet costumes. oh the joy! hopefully we'll have a video up that you guys can check out, too.
we're still working on some new material for whenever our next release is. we're not sure if we're going to go with a full length or ep, but we'll see. we're very happy with how the songs are coming out and can't wait to share them with you all.
anyway, i'm wearing a pumpkin shirt, and its halloween. BOOYAH!

yo yo yo. the shows this weekend were dope, yo. word. bananas. i got bare butted more times than i'd like to recall, and last year portrait's new cd is awesome. go listen to it on their myspace (myspace.com/lastyearportrait)! if you were at the shows, thank you! and a special thanks to lyp for letting us arrive at their crib at 5 am and sleep on their floors although there were beds available but it was dark and we were so tired we didn't even know.
we're going to be recording one or two more new songs in travis's home studio this weekend. hopefully we'll have them up in a week or so. we've got some other goodies coming along with that as well, so keep an eye out!
we're thinking about getting team uniforms and warm up attire as well complete with tear away pants and shooting jerseys for pre game warm up. what do you guys think?
i bought a big dry erase board for the practice room today. since we've been writing a lot lately, we felt that visual as well as audible stimulation would boost the creative energy. and if that doesn't work, at least we have something to draw butts and weiners on.
anyway, i have to finish a lab report. thank cod this is my last semester EVER!

hey mans and womans, how is life? we finished another new song since i last updated. i very much enjoy it and hopefully you guys will, too. we have a new practice regime that we sometimes like to implement where we practice without wearing any pants. you would be amazed at how much this can boost our creativity.
anyway, i'm cooking french fries right now. travis and i graduate from college in december. thats great. thats awesome. pat rides a motorcycle now. kyle got a new backpack that then inspired both travis and patrick to get a very similar style backpack.
we need some new tshirt designs, but haven't really had a chance to whip anything up. we're thinking about doing a contest for that. and who ever wins gets a ton of crap. sooo ... if you are good with awesome things, make us a shirt design, and we'll give you all sorts of goodies.

greetings to all of you in internet land. i almost typed grettings, haha. anyway, we're going to start using this thing a lot more often ... mostly because i like to ramble on about pointless things and tell tales of fright and horror! WAHHH!
so lately we've been writing a lot of new songs. we took a break from shows for the summer which was sort of a boner kill, but we'll be picking up soon, and i'm extremely excited. speaking of new songs, we have one online RIGHT NOW! its just a demo, but check it out at www.myspace.com/weareonlyfiction! be sure to leave us some COMMENTS and let us know what you THINK! we'll be playing scattered shows up until the winter time and are hoping to record one or two more of those demos before then as well. a new CD is in the future at some point as well as tons of shows all over.
in other news, kyle's rattail is getting close to the 1 foot mark. we're so proud!

hello everyone in internet land. so we really don't update this at all, but i figured, what the hell!? i might as well!
so, what has waof been up to lately? perhaps you have been wondering, perhaps you have not. all i really know is it's very cold outside and that i don't really need to use my refrigerator for the next week because i can just leave it all sitting on my window sill. excellent. i'll probably save $0.30 in electricity.
anyway, as far as waof goes ... we've been taking a break from playing lots of shows for a while to take some time to work on some new stuff. we should have about two or three new songs ready to rock by the spring. i wish we had time to write more, but school is a punch in the balls every day and it sucks.
once we get those new songs ret to rock, we'll be recording some demos of them so that you all may hear what we have been hard at work on. wee!
other than that, we're planning to do some touring this summer again and are pretty excited. we aren't exactly sure how much or where, but we will definitely keep all of you posted.
and that's all i got. hopefully everyone is have a joyous new year and enjoying the wonderful magic we call life.

well boys and girls, it's been about 7 decades since we've updated this. we should really do a better job, but does anyone read this thang?
anyway, we are working on a few new songs and are hoping to get some demos recorded soon, so keep an eye out for that.

HOLY CRAP! we have been selected as on of four finalists in atlanta to compete in the Bamboozle Left Break Contest! what this means is ... if we win, we get to play out in in California at the Bamboozle Left which features TONS of incredibly amazing bands!

other than the tour, we've all been pretty busy with work and that sort of stupid stuff. gotta pay da billz, ya hurd?
anyway, here is what we have been up to ...
kyle has finally started wearing socks again. this is truly something great. he went through a no-sock phase, and, boy, we sure felt the wrath of that. let's just say ... "cheese shoes."
travis bought a bird. yep, a bird. he named it sagimon. his obession with it is somewhat unhealthy, but, hey, we all need something to confide in. not to mention, he has trained it to poop on cue and has been bombing people for the past two weeks.
patrick has been busy ice skating. yes, i know what you're thinking ... "how are ice skates made?" well the answer is simple, patrick has a passion ... for ice. his double axel twist butt explosion, as he calls it, has been impressing an ever growing audience. future olympian? ... i think soooo.
and, lastly, i have been doing a great deal gardening. i have what us gardeners like to call a "brown thumb." everything i plant somehow turns in to poop. gross. sick. why do i talk about poop so much? well, it's the truth, but i still enjoy watching the little seedlings blossom into those beautiful brown mounds. oh ... the joys of nature!
we'll have our new EP, the new Spotlight Comp CD, and a plethora of tshirts with us on the road, so please be sure to check it out if you make it to a show!

so, we must apologize for never updating this doodle. i don't really know if anyone really reads it, though, so hot sauce.
last night we played in greenville, sc. it was awesome and also probably the most sweat i have ever sweated ever ever. we played with our boiz blame it on blondie. they just keep getting awesomer every show we play with them. lampwick was definitely impressive. outclassed brought a heapload of rock, and rcx was rad, too. a giant huge thank you to all of the people who attended the show! you all are amazing.
this tuesday, blame it on blondie is coming to town rock and roll with us. so please check it out if you get the chance!

welllllll here is a sweet and tasty update for all of you ...
last weekend we finished all the music for the two songs we're doing for the spotlight sound studio compilation. some of the other bands on this comp are last year portrait, forever fades away, the silent escape, and the awkward romance to name a few. it will be amazing, and i believe it will be released around april. oh, and be sure to check out spotlight if you're recording ... it's DA BOMB www.spotlightsoundstudio.com
speaking of april, our NEW EP will most likely be released sometime around mid to late april. we'll definitely keep you all posted. right now we're tweaking all the final mixes and we should have some stuff online very soon.

WAHHH HOLY WOW! so it appears we have this here xanga thingy, and i think its a good time to start using this little buddy. here's some cool stuff that has been happenin' with us lately ...
we played an awesome show tonight in warner robins at a place called el zafiro. we ended up being insanely late because of ridiculous amounts of traffic and eff'ed up directions. BUT we made it there none the less and had an awesome time. huge thanks to fun in washington for being awesome dudes and putting us on da cho.
our new ep is ALMOST DONE! holy crap ... FINALLY. we finished all the music back in december, but we've been so busy with schooling and shows and what not, we have had very little time to get in and finish up all the vocals, but we're nearing completion, and we couldn't be more excited. right now a tenetive release date is March 24th at the Vineyard ... buuuuut that is just a possibility.
on sunday we're playing at Jock's n Jill's in Duluth with a crap ton of awesome bands. it's free so come check it out if you live near by! i remember back in the day ... like 3 years ago ... we played at Jock's n Jill's with the one and only Too Far Gone, but the jock's people made us turn our jamz down and even cut us short. what a bunch of poopies. sunday should be awesome. we're killer stoked like a boomerang.
last weekend we played in charlotte, nc. it was rainy. we got lost thanks to roads being closed with no detours. we skidded in the van getting off the exit, and we all pretty much urinated in our britches. thankfully it was just a quick little skid and we regained traction quickly. oh, and a HUGE thanks to NC Angela for being totally awesome and hooking us up with that show.
we played that show with bombshell, this waking moment, one big plain, and kenmore. we played with bombshell last time we were in charlotte, and they were da bomb. they're coming to atlanta in april ... i think ... to the masquerade, so everyone go check 'em out. kenmore were some rad dudes too ... they were from virginia, so it was cool to meet some fellow travelers. one big plain was this experimental progressive rock type band ... SHEESH they were insane! well crafted and well executed songs. and this waking moment was pretty radical as well ... they're from the charlotte area and real nice dudes.
